Oracle8i, JServer, OAS Version confusion

I'm trying to implement a "proof-of-concept" demo for web application using features of Oracle8i, JServer and OAS. Specific services such as EJB, JCORBA, JSP, Servlet's, web load balancing, failover for database, web, etc..... Trying to find out if all of this is supported now is very difficult. It now appears that JServer is a separate product. I have a subscription to OTN Internet Technology Track, but I don't have what I need on the CD's.

Do I give up trying to use all Oracle products to implement today a proof-of-concept and just use Oracle8i database and WebLogic middle-ware?

Any pointers would be appreciated.
