We backup Oracle 7.3 using seagate Backup 7. Before we start the job we shutdown the database. If we are looking into the log file, we found that the files listener.log and listener.trc has been opened during backup.

Could that be a problem using the restore?

BTW: a collegue uses legato (without any special oracle options) and did not shut down the database before. In his log file the are no errors. My explanation is, that legato backup every file, which is open nevertheless it is opened by another user. Am I right?

Regards
