Scope: Large securities firm seeks several candidates to develop and maintain
Finance Datamarts and provide analytical reporting of these Datamarts. This
will include: Business/workflow analysis and requirements definition for equity
and debt product finance reporting. Front and back-end software development to
produce position and transaction summaries and reconciliations, Research and
requirements definition for new data feeds from other trade capture and trade
processing systems. Support and troubleshooting of existing production
reports.
Qualifications: -Essential: Experience with RDBMS's, preferably hands-on
experience working with Sybase and/or Oracle. The candidate should have strong
understanding of database design principles - should understand normalized
design concepts, Star Schema design, and the relative merits of each for
different applications. Candidate should have experience in creating and
populating tables and writing triggers and stored procedures.
-Business Objects
-Perl programming under Unix
-Experience with OLAP products or with development of Data Warehouses is highly
desirable
-4GL Windows programming experience. MS Visual Basic is desirable.
Powerbuilder or Delphi is also acceptable
-Brokerage Accounting experience is helpful
