Re: Oracle8i & runInstaller

There is a patch available for enlightement which helps with Oracle8i installation, and if I were you I would also install the Oracle 8i patch. After that I had no problem.

• Use JRE 1.1.6v5 rather than 1.1.7v3 (the latter "should" work the documentation says) -enlightment patch is at www.redhat.com - look for rh60-errata-general.html for details of enlightment-0.15.5-37.i386.rpm
• get Oracle 8i patch 8.1.5.0.1 from http://technet.oracle.com
