sharing a table and referential integrity

General question here regarding multiple schemas and sharing a table via, say a view.

I have a separate schema for each customer, but since they share a common set of mfrs, I would like to share a common mfr table, via say a view.

Can anyone recommend experience in this area for things to watch out for? Is there some support across schemas for referential integrity, i.e. if a user in one schema deletes a mfr, will it get caught if another schema references it?

Thanks
