Recommended API for VB6 to Oracle 8.0.5?

Based on the posts I've seen on various newsgroups, it sounds like there are some significant problems and limitations with using ADO under VB6 to access the Microsoft OLE DB provider for Oracle.

But are there the same (or worse) problems or constraints if we go the ODBC route?

Is there a discussion somewhere of the pros and cons?
