he tuning scripts contained in the Oracle Performance Tips and Techniques are now available for download (there are over 100 of them). They are broken out based on page number in an HTML format and also txt format and also now in a UNIX extracting format as well. The book has a lot of tuning information for developers especially on efficient joins, hints, PL/SQL tuning and trace/explain. For DBAs the init.ora, estat/bstat, rating your system and x$/v$ chapters. The downloadable scripts are at:
