JServer -vs- OAS

I'm a little confused over the target audience for Oracle's JServer and Oracle's Application Server. Both appear to have similar features although JServer appears to be more tightly integrated with Oracle 8i. What are the pros/cons of each of these products? Which is better in terms of scalability, fault-tolerance, and flexibility? Your input is appreciated.
