if you really do have a 16bit oracle client AND the 32 bit client, it can be done....

you need an entry in win.ini to point to oracle home, an oracle.ini in THAT (16bit ) directory, and the correct pathing...

Our local oracle client is 32 bit
    c:\orawin95

How do I get that local client to acknowledge the c:\orawin oracle.ini     tnsping can't find message file 3505 when I run it from orawin\network\admin..

entries for tnsnames.ora are in both 32 and 16 bit subdir's     paths exist to most areas I can find...
