DSN Names for Oracle on UNIX

Hello,

I want to know the steps to create a Data Source Name for Oralce8 on UNIX.
I downloaded Oracle8 ODBC Drivers from Intersolve. But the documentation is not very clear. I feel that the entries in odbc.ini are correct. Still the Intersolve API is giving the error message that Data Source Name not found.

Can any one help me in creating the Data Source Name?
