Error Exporting File

When doing my weekly export of a very large table I get the following errors:

Export done in WE8ISO8859P9 character set and WE8ISO8859P9 NCHAR character set
Note: grants on tables/views/sequences/roles will not be exported Note: indexes on tables will not be exported

About to export specified tables via Direct Path ... Current user changed to MARS

EXP-00002: error in writing to export file

EXP-00002: error in writing to export file EXP-00000: Export terminated unsuccessfully

The resulting export file is 2.1 gigabyte uncompressed. There is plently of diskspace available. Why would I get getting error in writing to export file? Any help would greatly be appreciated.
