Does anyone have any idea what could cause an elapsed time, calculated
with two calls to dbms_utility.get_time, to come out as negative?
I have a check constraint, stating that numbers inserted into an
elapsed_time column must be >=0, that is being violated.
This error is sporadic, but worrysome. Any assistance would be most
appreciated.
As a corollary, can anyone provide any information on exactly what
this "arbitrary point in time" that the get_time clock starts from?
What causes this clock to reset?
