Newbies Q.:Trigger in embedded SQL

Hello all,

as a relative newbie to Oracle, I'm wondering if it is possible to have some sort of trigger in an embedded SQL program. (SQL within a 'C'/C++ program). I'm programming in 'C' under DEC OSF1. I could not find anything in the manuals, so the chance is obvious very low. Am I right ?
