You can get Oracle training at Oracle Education It will be difficult to find a job as DBA starting from fresh unless the company is willing to take in fresh blood. But it is not impossible to find such a company. Another way to learn Oracle is to do it at home. Install Linux and download Oracle for Linux to play at home! You'll need to read up.
Download the manuals, buy the books.
Buy lots of books to read on Oracle.

Nobody can guarantee that Oracle will not go away. But you won't be screwed.
Because you will nevertheless be a Database specialist which is much sought after in many companies.

I've made a switch from programming to fully concentrate on Oracle as a DBA.
I've made the switch because I like Oracle. The company, the technology, the vision and being 2nd place to Microsoft.
I always prefer Number Two than Number One. Because there's a tougher challenge to deal with : Number One!
