Just out of curiosity, what bad habits would they be bringing from Linux. Most of my UNIX experience is with HP-UX and AIX. I recently installed Linux on my PC at home and the command line interface seems to be a pretty typical UNIX command line and X seems to be X. I installled DB2 on it without any major problems. DB2 runs pretty much as it does on the other platforms I've worked with. So, what is the problem you see with Linux? I haven't worked in the Solaris environment. Is it that different?
