Have you considered using OLE according to the document
WIN:OLE AUTOMATION GUIDE-ORACLE FORMS TO MICROSOFT WORD
The OLE communication with Word uses actually Word.Basic (and it works).
I am using Forms but there should be a possibility to use OLE in Reports
too.
