Hi,

We have a Oracle 7.2.2.3 running on a solaris 2.4 system. It uses both
SQL*NET V1 and V2. Connection from other Oracle 7 clients has no problem.

From a Linux oracle 8 client, however, I cannot successfully connect with the oracle7 server. The sqlplus simply dumps core. The oracle8 client can connect to another oracle8 server with problems.

The sample error output is

kgepop: no error frame to pop to for error 0 Segmentation fault

Has anyone successfully done such a connection between oracle7 and oracle8?

Thanks for any info.
