Need help with oracle export

Attempting to perform a full export of an Oracle database via a UNIX script. The script is setup to execute through Oracle's cron, but when it kicks off it immediatly fails and I receive the following error message:

ORA-12154: TNS:could not resolve service name

I have reviewed the TNSnames.ora file and everything is fine there. I doublechecked my parameter settings within the export command and they are correct too. And, if I execute the very same command structure from the command line, then the export is successful. The script is owned by the Oracle user and it has the needed permissions. Any assistance with this problem will be greatly appreciated.
