Execute stored procedure in the background from a Forms application.

I have created a server-side stored procedure in my database, and it is executed when the user of my Forms builder application presses a button. This procedure needs about 5 minutes to execute. Is there a way to return immediately , so that the user can continue to use the application while the procedure is executed on Oracle server? Thanks in advance.
