I have reviewed all of the products listed for PC Week magazine (except
Sterling).
You can access the reviews via zd.com by searching article archive for
scalzo. I like
ER Studio the best for modeling. ERwin was a front runner, but Platinum is
too slow
to fix bugs and does not work properly with Oracle 8i (complete compare
utility reports
wrong results). Designer 2000's learning curve is way to great. Power
Designer is
not bad, but lacks compare/synch utility (and it's GUI as well as ERwin's
shows its age).
