'libclntsh.so.1.0: open failed' on Sun Solaris and Oracle 8i

Hi,

I tried to install the ARS 3.2 from Remedy on an Sun Solaris 5.6 with a local Oracle 8i DB. But the executables can't find

the libclntsh.so.1.0. This looks right, because there
is no libclntsh.so.1.0 in the LD_LIBRARY_PATH directory,
but a libclntsh.so.8.0.

A link 'ln -s libclntsh.so.8.0 libclntsh.so.1.0' didn't solve the problem, now there are errors like

symbol lxclas: referenced symbol not found

The 'sqlplus' from oracle is working correct.

What can I do to solve the problem? Get an old library from oracle?

Thanks for your support, Michael. Received on Tue Apr 27 1999 - 08:53:11 CDT
