Re: firewall sqlnet woes

Dan,

Andrew and Nandan have provided a good description of what the listener is doing under NT.

To resolve this problem you need the Oracle8 listener installed and then add the registry item USE_SHARED_SOCKET=TRUE under the Oracle key.

We had the same problem as you and this fixes it.
