Problems importing with SQL Loader

I'm importing data using SQL Loader.



Some of my data rows are being rejected and they all have one thing in
common:



at least one of the fields in each rejected row has an "&#" in it.



Why do these characters cause the import to fail? Can anything be done about
it?
