I'm teaching myself Oracle and use 'Developing Personal Oracle 7 for Windows 95' by David Lockman (SAMS publishing).. The book also comes with a CD trial version of Oracle. It covers the fundamentals. It's a lot better than Oracle for Idiots, though the book suffers from irritating faults - at times it reads as if it was done in a hurry.
