Subject: Replication Oracle 8.0.5 database + file system on WinNT 4.0

Question for the gurus out there:

Can Oracle manage files on an operating system file system and mirror them, if they are outside the control of the database?

For instance, if one Oracle server keeps a database of information about how files are stored in a folder, which isn't in the database. Can Oracle make sure the files in that folder are kept in sync with another server over a network?

We are using two Oracle 8.0.5 Enterprise running on two Windows NT Server 4.0 SP3

I hope you can give me a hint.
