The Oracle HOME is stored within the registry at key: \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE and one of the values is ORACLE_HOME

In addition, with Oracle8 you can have multiple homes on a single NT Server, and the list of these homes is available under the key

\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE\ALL_HOMES and each home has an ID? sub key.

However, to change Oracle Homes on Oracle8 there is a utility within the Oracle Program Group called Oracle Home Selector which lists all the Oracle Homes and enables you to switch between them.
