Granting SELECT ANY TABLE and granting SELECT on specific tables is, for the most part, redundant. Neither will override the other.

I said, for the most part. If you plan to use access to another user's tables within a package or stored program unit, you must explicitly grant select on the table to the owner of the program unit. Received on Fri Feb 05 1999 - 12:52:35 CST
