Dear all,

I have installed the Oracle server 7.3.4 on my NT with address 192.168.1.1 and the client on my another Win98 machine with address 192.168.1.2. Once I make the connection from my client to the server using the sqlplus, it takes me around 2 minutes to get connected. Can it be faster? One interesting thing is when I connected to an ISP through modem PPP connection, I can get into the server in couples of seconds. Can anybody give me a helping hand?

Cheers,
Kenneth (Milk Ken)
