SQL*NET2.x works with SQL*NET3.x (Oracle 8), but SQL*NET1 does not work with
either. It is/was possible to run both a V1 listener and a V2 listener at one
point, but I am not sure about now. Oracle dropped support for V1 about 18
months ago.
