Error ORA-01019

The postings from Jan. 14 seem to have disappeared, therefore I post this again.

When I try to connect to my Oracle8 database using Informatica's PowerMart, I get an error ORA-01019: unable to allocate memory in the user side.

Can anybody please tell me what 'in the user side' means? The documentation says to increase the size of the process heap. How can I do this? It also says to use the old set of calls. What's this? Any clues?

Your comments are highly appreciated, thanks in advance. Bye.
