Hi there,

sorry for multiple posting before - my ISP didn't work fine there and I got wrong error messages...

I now edited my init.ora file and set utl_file_dir; and with utl_file package that works fine.

Only one additional question: We run Oracle 7.3 on an NT Server machine. Is that normal, that I have to specify the directory like in init.ora exactly the same upper/lowercase?

I tried a bit and even if I only change the drive letter from c: to C: (lower- to uppercase or vice/versa), I get exception invalid_path.

Well, only want to know if that's normal, I know that linux is case-sensitive filesystem, but WindowsNT ????

Thanks,
