Hello!

I'm learning Oracle 8. Precisely, we are now using developer 2000 to create
forms. I downloaded the trial versions 2.0 and personal edition 8.0 from www.oracle.com and installed it under windows 98. But I'm experiencing a problem:
When I try to connect to the database it asks for a username, password and database name.
Those are mentioned nowhere on the readme file which comes with the trial version
This is what I've tried so far in vain after starting the database:
scott, tiger and " " (username, password and database)
   scott, tiger and orcl,
   scott, tiger and local,
   system, manager and " ",
   system, manager and orcl,
   system, manager and local.

But I can access the sql prompt using scott and tiger as username and password.

I also tried to create a user using Developer 2000 R2.0 Admin > Developer
2000 Build, but I was stucked again when I was prompted to enter the system password and the database connection ( eg. t:node:SID [LOCAL] ). I have no clue as to what the example in the parenthesis mean.

What should I do? Can you help me out please!

   By anticipation, thanks a million.
