OCI8 and solaris

Hi

Im attempting to use the OTL (Oracle template library) on solaris 2.6 with Oracle 8.0.5, and constantly getting bus errors at one specific spot. Ive tried both GNU and SunPRO C compilers. I had assumed it was a problem with the OTL code itself, until I found that one of the shipped demos from oracle ($ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/demo/cdemo82.c) which uses the OCI8 API also dies with the identical stack track as the OTL code (the last stack frame being in kpudsaattrg(), somewhere in the OCI internals). I know that the OTL (and presumably the oracle demos) work on AIX and NT (verified by the author of the OTL). Does anyone have any helpful suggestions here? I contacted oracle support today and they were very unhelpful.

Thanks in advance
