Oracle Database on a compressed Windows NT volume?

Does anybody know if an Oracle database can be run on a compressed NTFS volume? If so, how does it affect performance? I've dug through Oracle's documentation without finding any clues on the viability of this option. I'd appreciate any feedback from the Oracle community. Thanks!
