Which is the real library name? (NT/95 & Forms 5.0)

This will help illustrate the problem with long file names and renaming the library. In the directory listing below (DIR UGOQPLI?.PLL), the view on the right is through windows explorer and the view on the left is the physical file name stored. As you can see, the actual library is really UGOQPLI2.PLL. However, the application will be looking at UGOQPLIB.PLL which apparently is now the older library.

File Server (Physical name) Windows Explorer view

Volume in drive M is VOL1
 Directory of M:\Develop\UGS\Bin

UGOQPLIB PLL 1,921,024 11-09-98 10:40a Ugoqplib112098.pll
UGOQPLI0 PLL 1,961,984 11-20-98 3:43p Ugoqplib_112498.pll
UGOQPLI3 PLL 1,900,544 10-27-98 11:31a Ugoqplib_110698.pll
UGOQPLI2 PLL 1,961,984 11-24-98 3:03p Ugoqplib.pll

It seems that Oracle Forms 5.0 is looking at the physical file name when locating a library rather than looking at the long file name. Please comment if you have any ideas how to deal with this.

Thanks,

Eric Fleming
