Replication Problem

I have three databases in Multi-Master Configuration. say A,B,C. A is talking to B or C at a time through the Database Link. When the link between A and B becomes inactive, A puts the data to C. While doing so, It is taking the long time to put data on C. When the link between A and B is up, It doesn't take much time to put data on C by A. But If the link bet A and B is not up, It takes a lot of time by A to put data on C. Please help to explain why it is happening and how. Dhiraj Malhotra
