Oracle related bug report: 438696
Platform: Power Macintosh
File: OracleNetTCP23Lib, version 2.3.2.0.1

I am experience a memory leak with Oracle's TCP/IP protocol for the Macintosh computer. After establishing about 450 connections the computer will crash after reporting a loss of memory.

Does anybody know of a fix/patch or a work round for this problem. I am about to perform a test using AppleTalk to see if this will alleviate the problem, but this is not a long term solution as TCP/IP is our preferred protocol.

Additional info.

  1. Oracle RDBMS running on NT4.0 server.
  2. Client application using OCI 7.3. Currently using the orlon() function to connect to the database, as I believe that olog() will leak memory.
