The answer depends on how you will use a trigger to replicate data.

• If you use trigger as snapshots will do then the answer is no.
• If you create a trigger only between the master-table an the replicated table then the answer is yes. What occurs if the connection between the two databases is lost? The data cannot replicated automaticly anymore.

Try to use shapshots for replication. They are easy to use. I have the problem, that snapshots between Oracle7.0 and Oracle7.3 are not working correctly. So I have to imitate snapshots by trigger and tables.
