Hi all

Any ideas on the following would be appreciated:

Environment: HP-UX 11.0 Oracle 7.3.4

Yesterday we had a lot of user activity on our system (the most ever). Towards the end of the day the database came down because of pmon crashing.

In the Unix syslog file I found the message:

vmunix file full (repeated 47 times)

(I can't remember the exact wording but it was something along these lines). I know that the vmunix file is the kernel. Does anyone know what this means and how it can be resolved?

Thanks in advance
