Hi Alex,

WebServer 2.1 and 3.0 use sql*net2 to connect to Oracle7 or Oracle8. So, yes, you need to install sql*net2 (which comes with your WebServer) to connect to your Oracle8 database. This works fine with our WebServer 3.0 and Oracle8.0.4 database.
I guess, the next version of WebServer will support Net8.
