Oracle Agent doesn't like early mornings?!!

Oracle Agent is behaving most oddly; I'd very much appreciate any input on the following puzzle:

I have a set of 3 jobs which the agent should execute once a day. If I set the start time during 'normal office hours' they all work fine, but if I set the start time to be during the night only the first one runs and then the agent 'hangs' and does not respond to any prompting. It has to be stopped and restarted and the jobs deleted. I have tried setting the start time to 4am, 5am, 8am, 9am, 10am and 4pm. Only 9am, 10am and 4pm work properly.

I know that the Agent is meant to be 'intelligent' - but I think it having the intelligence to object being dragged from its bed at 4am to do some work is a bit too extreme! Whether the client on which I set up the jobs originally is still connected or on or off has no impact on the behaviour of the agent (not that any should be expected). The server is an NT box running Oracle 8.0.4. (agent is v.8.0.4). There are no backups or any other scheduled jobs running overnight.

Any insights gratefully received!

Thanks
