I'm not sure that even the originators could explain the underlying tables in designer (SDD_ELEMENTS and SDD_STRUCTURE_ELEMENTS)!:-)  but if you want to create your own reports look through the on-line help for the API info about the CI_ views on those tables. Also with Designer 2000, 1.3.2 you can load in the views as an application to your designer repository (They provide a dump file - not sure of the name but contact support and they'll point you in the right direction)
