Hi,

make sure that you have installed the SQLNET Product with TCP/IP or named pipe adaptor.
16 Bit Software resides in a different ORACLE_HOME than 32 Bit Software. In ORACLE_HOME/network/admin (16 Bit) you need the correct entries in the tnsnames.ora file.
