DBMS_PIPE..help needed

Hi all

I am quite new to PL/SQL , I am trying to get grip with DBMS_PIPE, but most of the books I pick up confuse me even more

Has anyone got examples, or a easy to understand explanation about DBMS_PIPE I would be extremely grateful
