Personal Oracle and the Internet

I've just been told that all our organization's MSAccess web applications must be rewritten in either Oracle or FoxPro. Eventually (within a year) they will all be rewritten against Oracle databases anyway.

I have been told that our organization owns Personal Oracle, and my question is: how viable is Personal Oracle for small web applications? Can anyone recommend any books to buy? I know SQL, but I am not an Oracle expert by any stretch of the imagination, though I am willing to learn.

I would need to convert by Christmas, so I hope someone can point me in the direction of a good book that is easy to understand and follow.

Thank you all so much!
