Hello Marc,
Enclosing object is the object that encloses your current field. Anchoring object is the parent object to which your current field is anchored.
I can give you an example: Imagine you have a list with a customer name who has ordered five different goods. Then the customer name is the enclosing object. It encloses the five different goods. Now you want to have the telephone number of the customer each time the name appears. Then the customer name is the anchoring object to the telephone number because each time the name is printed the phone number is printed also.
