Names.ora

Hello all,
I am trying to get a names server started, and I was wondering if anyone could email me a sample of their names.ora. It is my understanding that all of the db names 'services' and connect descriptors will be held in this file. Is this correct? I am running 7.3.3 on solaris and since there are no sample files I have been using Net8 assistant to gen the files but for some reason it refuses to load the tnsnames.ora file and I don't know how to manually enter then which is what I would like to do. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, Thanks
