Oracle recently unveiled version 4.0 of Oracle Application Server, which
is intended to give users a central server from which they can deploy
and manage all applications used within an organization.
- NEW ORACLE SERVICE TO LEASE SPACE TO USERS OVER INTERNET
Oracle disclosed that it will soon offer a new outsourcing service for
small and medium-size businesses that do not want to handle their own
Oracle database and applications in-house.

Next month, Oracle will launch the WebDB tool, which promises to ease
access and maintenance chores for Oracle databases by letting users

Oracle acquired Versatility this week, which Oracle hopes will bring a
solid call center solution with outbound telesales and telemarketing
functionality to complement Oracle's inbound service call center
application.
- ORACLE ANSWERS MICROSOFT ACCESS BUG WITH MIGRATION PROGRAM
No sooner had Microsoft announced that there was a bug in its Access 97
software than Oracle released a migration program to help users move
their data to "proven, safe" Oracle databases.
- ANIMATED LEARNING ANNOUNCES TRAINING CD-ROM
Animated Learning, Inc. announced the availability of its OraWorld
Courseware Kit for Oracle7 & Oracle8 on CD-ROM. The sophisticated
multimedia courseware kit of over 80 hours trains database
administrators and application developers how to use Oracle, and helps
prepare students for Oracle's OCP certified professional exams.
