Gianfranco,

I have tried running Oracle Personal Edition 8.04 on a laptop with 24 MB RAM.
Not very fast at all. With the current RAM prices, get a desktop with lots of RAM.
I use 128MB and is resonably happy (for the time beeing <g>).
