Recommend a good book revisited

I posted a similar request a couple of weeks back but I didn't get too many replies and most of the ones I did get recommended beginner-type books. I might not have been clear in what I was looking for. So please bear with me as I make another request.

I am looking for a good Oracle book that is geared more toward the application programmer than to the DBA. I am familiar with SQL and PL/SQL but would like to get more familiarity with both. I am looking for something that will take me from intermediate to advanced and is a good reference book as well as a tutorial. As a final requirement, I would prefer a book that doesn't have a CD as I am currently running Linux and most CDs seem to only work with Win95. I don't want to pay for something I'm not going to be able to use.

Thanks.
